PITTSBURGH, Aug. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create an accessory to conceal a football coach's mouth when speaking into the microphone on a communication headset," said an inventor, from Olympia Fields, Ill., "so I invented the E Z SPEAK MIC- GUARD. My design would block the mouth to prevent others from reading lips and determining which plays were being called."
The patent-pending invention provides an effective means of concealing a football coach's mouth when calling plays into a headset communication microphone. In doing so, it ensures the coach's lips are blocked from view. As a result, it eliminates the need to hold a clipboard or other item in front of the mouth. The invention features a practical design that is easy to apply and use so it is ideal for football coaches. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Chicago sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
