PITTSBURGH, Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create a space-saving way to dispose of Styrofoam and paper cups in a garbage receptacle," said an inventor, from Jackson, N.J., "so I invented the CUP AWAY. My design would serve as a simple solution for managing bulky paper or Styrofoam cups in the trash."
The patent-pending invention provides a means of creating additional storage space for the disposal of paper/Styrofoam cups within a garbage receptacle. In doing so, it allows exponentially more cups to be thrown away in the same amount of space. As a result, it reduces the volume of trash and the amount of times needed to change the garbage bags. The invention features a durable and space-saving design that is easy to use. Additionally, it is producible in four different models for various applications including commercial coffee shops/restaurants, households, offices, etc. A prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the New Jersey sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
