PITTSBURGH, Aug. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "As a professional truck driver for 30 years, I am very familiar with switching between different metal and sticker-style hazard placards for display on trucks. I thought there could be a way to improve and modernize this required signage," said an inventor, from Covington, Ga., "so I invented the DIGITAL PLACARD. My design would be easy to change, and it would be much more visible in all conditions."
The invention provides an electronic placard display system for commercial trucking equipment carrying hazardous materials. In doing so, it eliminates the need to manually select and display traditional placards. As a result, it increases safety and convenience. It also ensures DOT and first responders are fully aware of the type of hazardous load being transported. The invention features a versatile design that is easy to use so it is ideal for the trucking industry, commercial marine applications, the railroad industry, etc. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Nstional sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
