ESSA Pharma Craters 64% Following Business Wind-Down & Capital Distribution Clarification
ESSA Pharma Inc. (EPIX) tumbled further today, down 64.48% to lead losses in the PRISM Emerging Pharmaceuticals Index after clarifying that its $80M ($1.69/share) cash distribution payment has been completed, with more progress to its wind-down process. The company explained that the correct due bill period for the $1.69 per share distribution ended August 22, with shares trading ex-dividend beginning August 25.

Femasys Inc. (FEMY) slumped 37.41%, driving the PRISM Emerging Women’s Health Index lower, after pricing an $8 million underwritten public offering of common stock and warrants. Proceeds will support commercialization of its fertility and birth control portfolio, including FemaSeed®, an infertility treatment shown to be twice as effective as traditional IUI, and FemBloc®, the first non-surgical permanent birth control recently approved in Europe and the UK.
