Hosted by Lauren Dickson and Elyse Walker at a Private Estate, the Sold-Out Event united 150 Women for a Lifesaving Cause

NAPA, Calif., June 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Against the stunning backdrop of Napa Valley, Runway for Red—held on May 31st at an exclusive private estate—brought together 150 extraordinary women for a powerful afternoon of fashion, community, and purpose. Hosted by philanthropists and St. Helena Hospital Foundation Board Members Lauren Dickson and Elyse Walker, the sold-out luncheon raised an astounding $1.2 million in support of the creation of a new Cardiac Center of Excellence at St. Helena Hospital.

"Runway for Red is about hope, resilience, and the power of women coming together for something greater than ourselves," said host Lauren Dickson. "We are building a beacon of healing right here in Napa Valley—so no one has to face heart disease alone."

A passionate advocate for health equity, Lauren's personal connection to this cause runs deep. After watching her younger brother survive a near-fatal AFib episode, and her father's emergency double heart bypass and aortic valve replacement surgery, she has dedicated herself to improving cardiac care access for all.

An Afternoon of Fashion, Philanthropy, and Flavor

The afternoon featured an exclusive runway show by St. Helena Hospital Foundation board member Elyse Walker, the celebrated designer and retailer known for curating some of the fashion industry's most influential looks.

The stunning Runway for Red event, featuring design and décor by Lauren Dickson and Tara Crosby, included a seasonal menu by La Saison and incredible florals by Miss Dee Designs by Lacey McDaniel. Frank Family Vineyards served as the major wine sponsor. They were joined by wines contributed by fellow St. Helena Hospital Foundation board members and other friends of the hospital to support the event.

The high-energy live auction and fund-a-need, led by Leslie Frank of Frank Family Vineyards and Glen Newhart, President & CEO of the St. Helena Hospital Foundation, inspired generous giving and raised critical funds for the new cardiac center. Live music by Lumos, champagne, and high fashion made the day unforgettable—but the heart of the event remained the mission to save lives.

"This event is a shining example of what happens when vision, passion, and community come together," said Glen Newhart. "Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we're making a lasting investment in world-class heart care for Napa Valley and beyond."

A Critical Investment in Heart Health

The new Cardiac Center of Excellence at St. Helena Hospital will provide:

  • An additional Cardiac Care unit with spacious private suites and accommodations for overnight stays by a family member
  • The region's most advanced cardiac imaging and surgical technology for safer, more accurate treatment and faster recovery

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Lauren and Roger Dickson, who underwrote all event costs, 100% of every dollar raised supports the Cardiac Center of Excellence.
